Ajinomoto (M) Berhad Congratulates the Medallists under the ASEAN Victory Project® in the 32nd SEA Games 2023

SEREMBAN, 1 JUNE 2023  - Ajinomoto (Malaysia) Berhad (AMB) is proud to welcome our national athletes home after bringing glory to our country in the 32^nd SEA Games, Cambodia 2023. A victory celebration was organised at AMB Factory, Bandar Enstek on 1^st June 2023 to congratulate the three national athletes who competed during the Sea Games under the ASEAN Victory Project®, namely Andre Anura Anuar who took home the gold medal for triple jump, as well as discus thrower Queenie Ting Kung Ni and pole vaulter Nor Sarah Adi who each won silver in their respective events.

In preparation for the 32^nd Sea Games, Cambodia, the three athletes were educated on appropriate sports nutrition and received well-balanced meals to meet the training requirements and targets through the Winning Meals Kachimeshi® sports nutrition programme under the ASEAN Victory Project®. All three athletes revealed that the ‘Winning Meals’ Kachimeshi® programme has helped them in reaching their true and full potential, which enabled them to achieve remarkable success in the 2023 SEA Games.

In the opening remarks of the celebration event, AMB’s Managing Director Mr. Tomoharu Abe said, “We hope this Winning Meals Kachimeshi® programme will be able to continue support and benefit Malaysians, especially our athletes and the general public who are active in sports to instil the practice of ‘healthy eating, active living’.” 

AMB’s involvement in sports nutrition dates back to 2019 through their collaboration with the Ministry of Education Malaysia in the ‘Sports Nutrition Awareness Project’ which aims to educate and increase the awareness of students on the importance of sports nutrition among student athletes as part of the Ajinomoto Group Creating Shared Value (ASV) initiative. At present, the project is still ongoing and currently involves three renowned national sports schools, namely the Bukit Jalil Sports School, Malaysia Pahang Sports School and Sabah Malaysian Sports School.
