More than 400 Orphans Benefitted from ‘Seri-Aji’ Sahur Campaign
KUALA LUMPUR, 16th April 2021 – In light of this year’s Ramadhan, Ajinomoto (Malaysia) Berhad (AMB) organised the ‘Seri-Aji’ Sahur Campaign with nearby orphanages to share the joy of the holy month with the local underprivileged children. This campaign was held as part of The Ajinomoto Group Creating Shared Value (ASV) initiative in supporting the local community to “Eat Well, Live Well”, which benefitted more than 400 orphans from 7 homes near the AMB premises. Ajinomoto had the pleasure of sharing their well-balanced ‘Seri-Aji’ fried rice recipes during sahur, as well as daily fasting essentials such as Safawi dates in an effort to complete their necessities in the barakah-filled month of Ramadhan.
One of the biggest challenges during the fasting month has always been to remain energised, especially for children who have only just begun to learn the practice. In an effort to tackle this challenge, AMB took it upon themselves to help people stay energised while fasting by spreading the benefits of a well-balanced fried rice dish through their Nasi Goreng Kampung Kaw and Nasi Goreng Berkurma recipes with the members of the participating orphanages. This inspired the orphanages’ cooks to prepare nutritious, creative and well-balanced fried rice with only 3 simple steps. Apart from being delicious, the children were able to remain energised throughout the day by getting the complete nutrients from rice, meat and vegetables during sahur.
However, AMB’s efforts to share the wonders of Ramadhan do not stop there. Besides enjoying the simple, delicious and well-balanced ‘Seri-Aji’ fried rice recipes with their loved ones, consumers also stand a chance to win prizes worth more than RM20,000! All they have to do is follow 3 simple steps to participate in the buy and win contest and submit their participation through the AMB website at www.ajinomoto.com.my. Hurry, as the contest ends on 16th May 2021!
Through this ASV initiative, AMB is hopeful and optimistic that they are able to support mothers and other home cooks in preparing simple, nutritious and balanced meals for the whole family during sahur to keep them energised all day long.
