Ingredients A:
320 g | Beef meat cut into 2cm |
3 tbsp | Cooking oil |
1 stalk | Lemongrass bruised |
1 pc | Pandan leaves |
1 pc | Cinnamon stick |
5 pcs | Cardamom pods |
2 pcs | Star anise |
5 pcs | Cloves |
2 tbsp | Ground chili paste |
1 no | Tomato thinly sliced |
2 tbsp | Sweet soy sauce |
3/4 tsp | AJI-NO-MOTO® |
1/3 tsp | Salt |
Ingredients B: marinade
1 tsp | Oyster sauce |
1 tsp | Sweet soy sauce |
1 tsp | Fennel seed powder |
1 tsp | Coriander seed powder |
1 tsp | Cumin seed powder |
Ingredient C: blend well
3 pips | Garlic |
4 nos | Shallot |
1 cm | Ginger |

- Marinade the beef meat with ingredients (B) and (C) for a minimum of 30 minutes.
- Heat the cooking oil in a pan and add in the lemongrass, pandan leaves, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, star anise and cloves. Stir until fragrant.
- Add in ground chili paste, stir until dry.
- Stir in the sliced tomato, stir until soften.
- Add in the marinated beef with the remaining of the marination and continue cooking until the beef soften.
- Ready to serve.
Tips: You can add some water if you like gravy.
