Green Sambal is a condiment that is used in many Southeast Asian dishes. It is made of fresh chili, garlic, shallots, tomatoes and garlic. Sambal is extremely popular in Malaysia and Indonesia, but it can also be found in Brunei and Thailand. In some cases, different sambals are used for different dishes. Sambal can be very spicy or mild depending on how much chili and the type of chilies you add.
|Enough to cook||Cooking Oil|
Ingredients A: (for steaming)
|20 – 25||Green Chillies (sliced)|
|10||Bird’s Eye Green Chillies (sliced)|
|2||Green Tomatoes (cut into four)|
Ingredients (B): (to taste)
|½ tsp||Lime Juice|
Steam ingredients (A) for 5 minutes and roughly pounded
Heat up oil and saute until fragrance.
Seasong with (B) and cook for a while.
Serve with rice and dishes.
