Sheppards Pie

Ingredient: meat
3 tbsp | Oil |
1 cup | Chopped onion |
2 | Carrot, diced |
2 cloves | Garlic, chopped |
400 g | Minced lamb |
½ tsp | Salt |
1 tsp | SERI-AJI® Black Pepper Seasoning |
2 tbsp | Flour |
2 tsp | Tomato paste |
½ tbsp | TUMIX® Chicken Stock mix with 250 ml water |
1 tsp | Worcestershire sauce |
2 tsp | Rosemary |
2 tsp | Thyme |
Ingredient A: mashed potato
500 g | Potato |
¼ cup | Cream |
60 g | Butter |
½ tsp | Salt |
½ tsp | AJI-SHIO® Flavoured Black Pepper |
1 | Yolk |

- Heat oil, sauté onions and carrot. Add garlic and stir to combine.
- Add minced lamb, salt and SERI-AJI® Black Pepper Seasoning and cook until brown.
- Sprinkle the meat with flour and toss to coat.
- Add the tomato paste and chicken broth, worcestershine sauce, rosemary and thyme, stir to combine.
- Bring to a boil and allow to cook for a further 3-4 minutes.
- For mashed potato, boil potato until cooked. Keep aside.
- Warm the cream and the butter and set aside.
- Mash the potatoes and add the cream, butter, salt and AJI-SHIO® Flavoured Black Pepper.
- Finally stir in the yolk.
