Sheppards Pie

Ingredient: meat

3 tbsp Oil
1 cup Chopped onion
2 Carrot, diced
2 cloves Garlic, chopped
400 g Minced lamb
½ tsp Salt
1 tsp SERI-AJI® Black Pepper Seasoning
2 tbsp Flour
2 tsp Tomato paste
½ tbsp TUMIX® Chicken Stock mix with 250 ml water
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp Rosemary
2 tsp Thyme

Ingredient A: mashed potato

500 g Potato
¼ cup Cream
60 g Butter
½ tsp Salt
½ tsp AJI-SHIO® Flavoured Black Pepper
1 Yolk
  1. Heat oil, sauté onions and carrot. Add garlic and stir to combine.
  2. Add minced lamb, salt and SERI-AJI® Black Pepper Seasoning and cook until brown.
  3. Sprinkle the meat with flour and toss to coat.
  4. Add the tomato paste and chicken broth, worcestershine sauce, rosemary and thyme, stir to combine.
  5. Bring to a boil and allow to cook for a further 3-4 minutes.
  6. For mashed potato, boil potato until cooked. Keep aside.
  7. Warm the cream and the butter and set aside.
  8. Mash the potatoes and add the cream, butter, salt and AJI-SHIO® Flavoured Black Pepper.
  9. Finally stir in the yolk.
