Tom Yam is an extremely popular dish in Thailand. It can be found at every street corner and every restaurant in the country. This dish has become famous because of its savoury and spicy taste as well as its popularity among tourists who visit Thailand. Tom yam means "hot" in Thai. Tom yam soup has many variations in Thailand – including clear soup or mixed with coconut milk for added fragrance. The most common ingredients are lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, tomato, squid and prawns. Tom Yam is an incredibly flexible dish that can be eaten as a meal on its own or as an appetiser. It can also be served in a bowl with noodle or an accompaniment of a steamed jasmine rice.

150g Chicken and Seafood (squid and prawn)
20g Cauliflower
15g Carrot
15g Celery
½ nos Yellow Onion (sliced)
2 stalks Lemongrass (pounded)
2 pieces Kaffir Lime Leaves
½ nos Tomato (cut into pieces)
½ nos Lime Juice
500ml (2 cups) Water
2 tbsp (18g) SERI-AJI® Tom Yam Seasoning
Method
Method
  1. Boil the water and turn the fire to medium heat, add in 2 tbsp of SERI-AJI® Tom Yam Seasoning
  2. Put all the ingredients except for the tomatoes and boil. Stir occasionally until chicken and seafood are cooked.
  3. Add in tomatoes and let it boil shortly. Next, add the lime juice and stir until it is even. Serve it while it is hot.
